Ways to Assist our Friends in Cuba

As many of you know, we have a sister church in Matanzas, Cuba.  We want to keep this church, and all the good folks in Cuba, in our prayers at this difficult time.  It is also our responsibility as people of faith and constituents of the United States to tell our elected officials, ‘Hands Off Cuba.’

Watch the Maundy Thursday “Living Last Supper” performance live below. The stream begins at 7:00 PM on April 2nd.

Watch our Good Friday worship service live below. The livestream begins at 7:00 PM on April 3rd.

Celebrate Easter with us! Join our 8:30 AM in-person service, or watch the 10:30 AM service livestreamed below.

April 5, Easter Sunday, Scott will preach, “Making it Real,” John 20:1-18

All Are Welcome with Rainbow

The people of Lovely Lane UMC humbly strive to be light, love and leaven to the world.

We stand with those who are devalued in our society because of their color, gender, marital status, creed, sexual orientation, age, physical or mental ability, immigration status or economic condition.

We serve those in our neighborhood and our community who are in need of food, housing, education, or health care.

We heal the world through collaboration with the national and international missions of the United Methodist Church, because where our hands cannot be, our hearts can.”

The Lord’s Prayer – From Pastor Scott

Many of us learned how to pray during our childhood years. We were taught to put our hands together before a meal, bedtime, and or a big decision to make. We learned that prayer is talking to God. And of course, we could talk to God anytime we want. We could pray to...

New Beginnings

In 1978 Brian Wren wrote the hymn, "This Is a Day of New Beginnings." In the hymn we sing, "Christ is alive, and goes before us to show and share what love can do. This is a day of new beginnings; our God is making all things new." Wren wrote this hymn for a New...

From Pastor Kristina: God Winks

God speaks to us in mysterious ways. It might be a whisper, a sign, the song playing at just the right moment, a message from a stranger, or sometimes God can speak to us in what I call ‘God Winks.’ Squire Rushnell calls God winks reassurances from God. For me, God...

From Pastor Kristina – June 2021
