United Women in Faith is continuing to put an emphasis on climate justice and sustainability! We appreciate all the positive feedback for leading the June
worship service.
We hosted an event on domestic violence on June 26th. Lynn Calvert, a recovering victim of domestic violence, was the guest speaker. This event was open to all people and we will continue to open up our events to all people.
The UWF board meeting will be Thursday, August 8, from 1:00-2:00 pm. We will begin setting our calendar for 2025. We need ideas and lots of help! I would love to have all members and interested women attend our meeting to help kick-off 2025. Even if you are not a member and have an idea for a program, please come or a meeting or let Deb Streff know (319) 721-8864.
Elizabeth Circle will meet Thursday, August 8, starting at 2:00 pm. We will be setting church goals for climate justice and discussing our June 9th service. What could we change to make it better? Then we will plan more events.
Rizpah Circle will meet Thursday, August 29, from 6:30-8:00 pm. We will be discussing personal and church goals for climate justice and more.
