In October we have developed some new goals with the biggest being to rebuild our library for United Women in Faith. The library consists of 5 categories: Leadership Development, Social Action, Education for Mission, Nurturing for Community, and Spiritual Growth. There are about 30 recommended books for each category that emphasize the purpose and goals of The United Women in Faith. We will be choosing more books to purchase for our library.
Yea for us! We have added two new members this month. We will surpass our goal for giving to National United Women in Faith and we will also be able to donate to church and local charities as determined by the board. Discussion to determine donations as we approach the end of our year will begin in November and be finalized in December.
November meetings:
The Discussions for both circles will be a continuation of Famous Women in History and discussion of women who have made a difference in our lives.
The Elizabeth Circle will also meet with the board for a continuing discussion and a working session on Thursday, November 14th at 1:00 PM. We will begin to plan to extend our reading library and plan book discussion groups.
The Rizpah Circle will meet Thursday, November 21, at 6:30 PM to finish our discussion of special women in our lives. We will also discuss library goals and purchase more books.
