As a Christian and your constituent, I have been concerned by the statements made by the current administration and some Congressional members about the need for regime change in Cuba. I am worried about the humanitarian crisis Cuba has experienced over the last year and want to see concrete and transparent aid and care going to our Cuban neighbors, not incited unrest or forced regime change. I mourn our nation’s involvement in the decline of health and livelihoods resulting from this continued embargo and sanctions on the Cuban government and I urge you to restore governmental communications with Cuba and keep U.S. hands off the Cuban government.
