What is Intersectionality?

To me, intersectionality is a complex concept that is difficult for people to understand. We tend to talk about topics such as racism, climate justice, homophobia, mental health, poverty, disability, abuse, and sexuality as if they each occur only by themselves. But all of these factors and more can combine to intensify the totality of the impact.
