We invite all Lovely Laners to join us for a potluck dinner in Fellowship Hall on Thursday, June 16th, at 6:30 PM. to hear Margaret Nelson speak about the Afghan Sponsor Circle Refugee Resettlement Program. The focus will be on how we might welcome the stranger, the refugees who are coming into our church, our neighborhood, our schools and our city.

We ask that you bring your own table service, and a hot dish, salad or dessert to share.

Lovely Lane United Methodist Women is now United Women in Faith! The renaming is part of a refreshing of the organization that includes an array of new and improved programs to nurture current members and welcome new women to join to put their love in action on behalf of women, children, and youth.

United Women in Faith seeks to connect and nurture women through Christian spiritual formation, leadership development, creative fellowship, and education so that they can inspire, influence, and impact local and global communities.

The changes are designed to address the different needs and life stages of current members and new women and expand options for membership and engagement. The new name also aims to welcome current members whose local churches may choose to disaffiliate from The United Methodist Church as well as women of other faith traditions who want to join.

All are welcome! “Watch for new opportunities to get involved!!”

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the July (15-16) session of Mission U will be held only virtually. The October (14-16) session of Mission U will be a hybrid of both in-person and virtual options. The study will be “Who Can We Be Together?” by Candace Simpson. If anyone would
like more information about these events, contact Cheryl Murphy who can forward that to you.
