Happy Endings, a book discussion group, meets on the second Monday morning at 10:00 AM in the church library.  We select the books that we read a couple of months ahead of time.  Each member reads the book each month and then we discuss it at the meeting.  The books we read are current fiction and non-fiction.  Meetings are held each month year-round.  If you are a passionate or just a casual reader, we would welcome you to the group!

Our Older Adult Council oversees Lovely Lane’s continuing ministry to the Northbrook Nursing Home and the Hiawatha Care Center.  We present a “mini-church service” there on the first and third Wednesdays of each month and a third time if there is a fifth Wednesday in the month.   We typically invite one or two extra persons to go along and assist by reading liturgy, talking with the residents, or bringing items to share.  We invite you to come with us and see what this caring ministry is all about.
