Music is a big part of our ministry with children!
We have two choirs on Wednesday nights as part of our Mission Possible and GLOW Kids programs that begins with a family meal at 5:30.
Preschool - Kindergarten
1st - 5th Graders
Sunday morning offers two opportunities for children to sing!
During 9:15 Sunday School the Preschool - 5th Grade children sing together for opening exercises.
During the 10:30 worship service, children ages preschool - 2nd grades are excused to attend Second Service Sunday School where they begin with a joint time of singing!
All of these children's choirs take turns singing quarterly during the 10:30 worship service and perform for our children's Christmas program.
Lovely Lane Ringers is a 3-5 octave handbell/chime choir that rehearses on Thursday nights from 6:45-7:45.
At 7:45 this group joins with our Lovely Lane Ensemble for prayer and snacks.
At 8 pm the Lovely Lane Ensemble rehearses and concludes their practice at 9 pm.
Both groups rotate and play once a month at the 8:00, 9:15 and 10:30 am worship services as well as offer special music for Christmas! Every few years the ringers attend bell festival for continuing education and enrichment.
Chancel (Adult) Choir
This vocal ensemble meets Sunday mornings at 9:15 AM for rehearsal and shares the scriptures through song at the 10:30 AM worship service. This group meets and participates in worship during the school year, but generally takes a break during the summer months. A wide variety of literature is used to enhance the message of our worship services. Special presentations with instrumental accompaniment typically take place during Lent and Advent. New singers are always welcome to drop in to any rehearsal. Please join us!
Instrumental and Vocal Soloists & Small Groups
Soloists and small groups of any age and instrument are welcome, with the prior approval of the music director and/or pastors, to share their music as part of worship or other special events. It's a great way for students planning to perform at solo and ensemble contests to have a safe, welcoming place to perform in front of an audience prior to their contest, or any time of the year. Adults are also welcome to organize small singing & instrumental groups throughout the year.
